Shelly Young

Shelly Young was born and raised in Houston Texas. She started her career in Real Estate in the Houston area in 1997, selling residential properties, making her a veteran in the Real Estate industry. Shelly moved to Tyler in 2007 and enjoys the slower pace of life that East Texas has to offer.

When Shelly is not working with buyers and sellers to find their next dream home, you can find her outdoors enjoying her workout first thing in the morning or fishing with her husband on Lake Palestine or at one of the children's ballgames on the weekends!

“As a child, I enjoyed swimming on the swim team, training in gymnastics, ballet and tap dance, camping and fishing on the weekend at Lake Limestone and on Lake Livingston, East Texas lake, great for fishing for large mouth bass.”

She has worked at the Factory Connection, sold women's clothing while going to college and sold furniture at Gallery Furniture in Houston.

Shelly earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree then transferred to SFA in Nacogdoches, Texas. She earned her Real Estate license at Champions School of Real Estate in Houston in 1997. She is also an Accredited Buyer's Representation ABR, E-Pro and top producer at Keller Williams.

In 2013, Shelly returned to work at Real Edge Real Estate.

The consummate professional, she is known for being detail oriented, hard working, dedicated, driven, friendly, with vast market knowledge.

“I put God first in all things, then family and business. If you take care of God's business, he will take care of yours. Without a doubt, the greatest influence on my life has been both of my Grandmothers. I always admired the way they carried themselves, treated other people, and how they lived good clean lives. I continue to strive to encompass the very best of both of them.”

Her many hobbies include oil painting and candle making. She's an avid supporter of the MS 150 and has ridden in 5 rides, with all proceeds supporting people who live with multiple sclerosis. Her company also volunteers for meals on wheels.

“My husband Thomas and I have a blended family of 6 – 5 boys and 1 girl, and a granddaughter. Life is good!”
