Musical innovator, producer and songwriter Don Maximus was born In Brenham TX and moved to Houston at age 12. He began writing music at 10 years old after listening to his uncle's recording.
Don Maximus has always been into sports, including baseball, football, and basketball. In 8th grade, junior high school, he suffered a broken tibia which put him down for several months. Unable to walk, he was confined to a wheelchair, with two metal rods connecting his bones.
This was a very challenging and life-altering time for him because Don Maximus took football seriously and had always dreamed of pursuing it professionally. He switched paths and came to realize he needed to take music more seriously and began to dedicate all his time to writing songs and making beats daily on software such as Fl studio and Reason.
Being able to be productive with music took Don Maximus' mind off the unfortunate reality that he would never be the same athlete. He played football his freshman year in high school, but it wasn't the same and he has dedicated his talents to music ever since.
Musical Influences include: Pink Floyd, Ramases, John Williams, Korn, and Kanye West.
Don Maximus produces Film Music, Alternative HipHop and EDM. He is unique in that he mixes all genres of music and is gifted in his ability to create whatever his mind, body, and soul moves him to create.
"I try to make music that makes me happy first. If its from the heart, it will always be felt by the masses."
