David Johansson is a very popular, in-demand freelance guitarist, dedicated musician and guitar teacher, comfortable with all genres and styles.
He is originally from a small town in the southwest of Sweden, where he grew up and resided for many years.
An accomplished rock/blues guitarist, David has been playing guitar in various cover bands and function bands around Sweden. Early in his career, he won a cover band competition which led to many charity and fundraising gigs, as well as an opening act performance for one of Sweden's biggest pop/rock bands “Eldkvarn”.
David was the solo guitarist of three years for five-piece, Swedish alternative rock band, “Stacy Go Blind.” He recorded a full length album “A Perfect Ten”, released in 2009, with the band at the “Old Pharmacy Studio” in Sweden.
For the past two years, David's been quite busy working in London as a guitarist/arranger for R&B, Soul and Jazz singer/songwriter artist Miss Jules, and later with band “Revolution Child”, performing in various venues around London. They recorded an album together, “This War Is Over”, at the Ealing Studios, London, spring 2013, to be released this autumn.
David was selected 2009 Guitar Performer of the Year and received his Diploma in Music Performance at Tech Music Schools, London. Currently, he is in his second year at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, London, working toward a Bachelors Degree in Music.
